About the Opportunity

Sygnia Asset Management is seeking an experienced and service-driven Client Relationship Manager (CRM) to join its Retail Investment Services Team in Cape Town.

This role is suited for a highly organised and client-focused professional with experience in financial services and investment administration. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs), and internal teams to provide exceptional service and maintain strong long-term relationships.


Main Purpose of the Role

The Client Relationship Manager will be responsible for:

  • Managing relationships with clients and IFAs
  • Providing support on investment products and services
  • Handling client queries and escalations
  • Ensuring high-quality service delivery within SLA timelines
  • Supporting client retention and satisfaction
  • Managing operational processes related to investments and administration

The role requires a proactive individual who can work under pressure while maintaining excellent customer service standards.


Key Responsibilities

Client and Adviser Support

The successful candidate will:

  • Engage with clients, IFAs, and support staff
  • Explain Sygnia products, funds, and services
  • Provide assistance with operational processes and documentation
  • Educate clients on systems, portals, and procedures

Relationship Management

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing client interactions from start to finish
  • Building strong long-term relationships
  • Ensuring client satisfaction and retention
  • Resolving and de-escalating client concerns

Operational and Administrative Duties

The CRM will also:

  • Manage personal work queues effectively
  • Follow the “Today’s Work Today” principle
  • Escalate complex queries where necessary
  • Follow up on outstanding matters
  • Collaborate with internal departments and Business Development Executives

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have:

  • BCom degree or equivalent qualification (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in client and IFA servicing within financial services
  • Experience in investment administration environments

Advantageous Industry Experience

Experience in the following sectors will be beneficial:

  • Linked Investment Service Provider (LISP)
  • Collective Investment Schemes
  • Retirement Funds
  • Linked Life Companies
  • Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs)

Technical Skills Required

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of financial services processes
  • Knowledge of FICA and FAIS requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
