About the Opportunity
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a professional and customer-focused Health Consultant to join its Raslouw store in the Health Department.
This role focuses on vitamins, supplements, and wellness products. The successful candidate will assist customers with product recommendations while promoting Dis-Chem’s Health Focus range through excellent customer service and effective sales techniques.

Main Purpose of the Role
The Health Consultant will be responsible for:
- Promoting and selling health and wellness products
- Assisting customers with vitamins and supplement recommendations
- Delivering outstanding customer service
- Achieving sales targets
- Maintaining merchandising and stock presentation standards
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Minimum 6 months’ experience in a vitamins or health-related sales environment
- Strong English communication skills
- Computer literacy in MS Office
- Sound numerical skills
- Willingness to work retail hours
Advantageous Qualifications and Experience
The following will be beneficial:
- BSc Biomedicine qualification
- BSc Biotechnology qualification
- Health-related qualifications
- Retail sales experience
- Experience with vitamins, supplements, or health foods
- Ability to speak a second language commonly spoken in the area
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service and Sales
The successful candidate will:
- Assist customers professionally

- Achieve team, brand, and vendor sales targets
Merchandising and Stock Control
Responsibilities include:
- Keeping shelves stocked and organised
- Maintaining attractive displays
- Monitoring stock levels
- Reporting pricing discrepancies
- Implementing promotional displays and merchandising material
Administrative Duties
The consultant will also:
- Follow Health Department procedures
- Assist with stock monitoring and returns
- Support effective department operations
- Stay informed about new product lines and health products
