About the Opportunity

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a professional and customer-focused Health Consultant to join its Fourways store in the Health Department.

This role is focused on vitamins, supplements, and health products. The successful candidate will assist customers with health-related product advice while promoting Dis-Chem’s Health Focus product range through excellent customer service and strong product knowledge.

This opportunity is ideal for individuals passionate about wellness, nutrition, supplements, and retail sales.


Main Purpose of the Role

The Health Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Promoting and selling health and wellness products
  • Assisting customers with vitamins and supplement recommendations
  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Achieving sales and promotional targets
  • Maintaining merchandising and stock presentation standards

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Minimum 6 months’ sales experience in a vitamins or health environment
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Sound numerical skills
  • Willingness to work retail hours

Advantageous Qualifications and Experience

The following will be beneficial:

  • BSc Biomedicine qualification
  • BSc Biotechnology qualification
  • Health-related qualification
  • Retail sales experience
  • Experience in vitamins, supplements, or health foods
  • Ability to speak a second language commonly spoken in the area

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service and Sales

The successful candidate will:

  • Assist customers professionally
  • Recommend suitable vitamins and supplements
  • Deliver high levels of customer care
  • Promote health products and special offers
  • Achieve monthly sales targets

Merchandising and Stock Control

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring shelves are fully stocked
  • Maintaining attractive product displays
  • Implementing promotional displays
  • Monitoring stock levels
  • Reporting pricing discrepancies

Administrative Duties

The consultant will also:

  • Follow Health Department procedures
  • Assist with stock control processes
  • Support weekly returns and inventory activities
  • Keep updated with new products and product ranges
