A leading client in the banking sector is seeking an experienced Process Engineer (BPMN) to join their team on a contract basis. Core Purpose
To lead the discovery, validation, modelling, and optimisation of business processes by analysing current and future states, ensuring alignment with business strategy while improving operational performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Process Analysis
- Identify, analyse, and document business processes across various functions
- Engage stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives
- Validate process flows and ensure alignment with organisational goals
2. Process Modelling & Design
- Develop process models using BPMN and DMN standards
- Design future-state processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Use tools such as IBM BPM/BAW or Camunda Modeler for workflow design
- Ensure models are accurate, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture
3. Process Simulation & Optimisation
- Analyse current processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
- Simulate process scenarios to evaluate performance outcomes
- Implement AI-enabled workflow optimisation where applicable
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
4. Workflow Automation & Integration
- Support the deployment of automated workflows
- Integrate business processes with systems using APIs and event-driven architectures
- Work with Kafka or Confluent for event streaming and system communication
- Ensure seamless integration with custom user interfaces and backend systems
5. Testing & Quality Assurance
- Conduct functional and performance testing of process solutions
- Ensure processes meet quality, compliance, and performance standards

6. Stakeholder Communication
- Communicate process insights and recommendations to stakeholders

Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Process Management (BPM)
- Strong experience in BPMN and DMN modelling
- Experience within the banking or financial services sector

- IBM BPM / BAW
- Camunda 7/8 and Camunda Modeler
- BPMN 2.0 and DMN
- Java (11+), Spring Boot
- REST APIs and JSON
- Kafka / Confluent (event streaming)
- Git and CI/CD (Azure DevOps pipelines)
