Job Overview

This role sits within a fast-moving FMCG B2B sales environment at Hire Resolve.

The focus is on outbound territory sales, customer acquisition, and managing long-term client relationships across formal retail and informal trade markets.


Core Purpose

The primary objective is to drive revenue growth by expanding market reach, developing new business, and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets within an assigned territory.


Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Strengthen trust and loyalty across all accounts

2. Account Management

  • Manage existing customer accounts
  • Drive repeat business and account growth
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
  • Resolve customer issues efficiently

3. New Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities
  • Conduct cold calling and prospecting activities
  • Expand customer base within assigned territory
  • Convert leads into long-term business accounts

4. Sales Cycle Management

  • Manage the full sales process from lead generation to closing
  • Conduct product presentations and client engagements
  • Negotiate pricing and close deals
  • Provide after-sales support where required

5. Sales Performance & Targets

  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Drive consistent revenue growth
  • Improve territory performance and market penetration

6. Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Gather competitor and market information
  • Monitor pricing trends and customer behaviour
  • Report insights to internal teams to support strategy

7. Territory Management

  • Manage and plan daily activities within assigned territory
  • Ensure regular client visits and engagement
  • Travel within territory as required

8. Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams (sales support, logistics, operations)
  • Ensure smooth order processing and customer service delivery
  • Support overall sales strategy execution

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • 3–5 years sales experience (FMCG or related industry preferred)
  • Proven field sales / external sales / territory sales experience (essential)
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Own reliable vehicle (essential)

Advantageous Qualification

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management
