Role Overview

This position forms part of the Finance and Insurance Management Solutions division within Motus Corporation, supporting dealership operations in the Hyundai East Region. The Finance and Insurance (F&I) Manager plays a critical role in enhancing dealership profitability by managing vehicle finance, insurance products, and related value-added services.

The role is both customer-facing and compliance-driven, requiring strong commercial awareness, regulatory knowledge, and excellent relationship-building skills. The successful candidate will ensure that all finance and insurance activities are executed in line with industry legislation while maximising revenue opportunities for the dealership network.


Purpose of the Role

The core purpose of this role is to provide efficient financial and insurance solutions to customers purchasing vehicles, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory frameworks. The F&I Manager contributes directly to dealership profitability by increasing gross profit through finance deals, insurance products, and value-added services.

The role also ensures that all Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) requirements, credit regulations, and internal policies are strictly followed.


Key Responsibilities

1. Finance & Insurance Sales Performance

You will be responsible for achieving agreed sales targets within a high-volume dealership environment. This includes maximising second gross profit through the effective sale of finance and insurance products.

A strong focus is placed on delivering consistent results while ensuring that customer needs are fully understood and met through tailored financial solutions.


2. Customer Financial Advisory Services

The role requires conducting detailed financial needs analyses for customers. Based on these assessments, you will provide appropriate finance and insurance solutions, ensuring customers are informed about all available options.

This includes explaining product benefits clearly and assisting customers in making informed financial decisions related to vehicle purchases.


3. Compliance and Regulatory Governance

A major part of this role involves ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements, including:

  • National Credit Act (NCA)
  • Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS)
  • Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA)
  • Consumer Protection legislation and dealership policies

You will ensure that all finance and insurance activities comply with Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) standards and dealership governance frameworks.

Maintaining fit-and-proper status, continuous professional development (CPD) compliance, and accreditation requirements is essential.


4. Dealer Support and Operational Efficiency

You will provide operational support to dealership teams by ensuring smooth processing of finance applications and insurance transactions.

This includes managing documentation, coordinating approvals, and ensuring that all processes are completed accurately and timeously to support vehicle sales.


5. Debt Book and Administration Management

The F&I Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining the finance and insurance debtor’s book. This includes ensuring accurate recordkeeping, timely reporting, and effective administration of all financial transactions.

Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential to ensure data integrity and compliance.


6. Customer Relationship Management

Building strong relationships with customers is central to this role. You will be responsible for ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering professional, transparent, and trustworthy financial advice.

This also includes educating customers on available financial products to encourage retention and repeat business.


7. Reporting and Performance Tracking

You will be required to record and report on all transactional activities. This data is used for performance analysis, decision-making, and strategic planning within the dealership.

Accurate reporting ensures transparency and supports continuous improvement in sales and compliance processes.


8. Continuous Professional Development

The role requires continuous learning and development to stay updated on industry trends, financial regulations, and automotive retail practices.

You are expected to actively improve your knowledge base and maintain industry accreditation standards.


Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric (essential)
  • Relevant diploma (advantageous)
  • Credit Management Diploma (advantageous)
  • Regulatory Examination (RE) certification
  • NC accreditation and/or Short-Term Insurance qualification (minimum 120 credits)
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within automotive retail or banking
