Job Overview
GBS is currently recruiting Customer Service Agents to join its inbound insurance contact centre team in Umhlanga. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with prior call centre experience, particularly within the insurance sector, who are looking to build a long-term career in financial services.
As a Customer Service Agent, you will serve as the first point of contact for customers, handling inbound queries, resolving issues, and delivering a high standard of service while maintaining strict compliance with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Interaction
- Handle inbound customer calls professionally and efficiently
- Respond to queries related to insurance products and services
- Provide accurate and clear information to customers
- Deliver a consistent and positive customer experience
Issue Resolution
- Investigate and resolve customer concerns effectively
- Take ownership of customer issues and follow through to resolution
- Escalate complex cases where necessary
Compliance & Quality
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements within the insurance sector
- Follow internal quality standards and call handling procedures
- Ensure all interactions meet company and industry guidelines
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (non-negotiable)
- Minimum 1 year local contact centre customer service experience
- Insurance experience is essential
- Valid DOFA (Date of First Appointment)
- Clear criminal record (mandatory)
- Strong verbal communication skills
Advantageous Qualifications
- RE5 certification
- FAIS accreditation
